Consumers in the State of Washington are reporting an imposter scam in which the scammers are pretending to be a Michael E. Hooper, Esq. of Albany. According to reports, the scammers are notifying people through Slight Investments Limited, a Colorado entity, that they've been selected to receive a $40,000 loan. To receive the loan, though, consumers must pay a fee of $550. Michael E. Hooper, Esq., of Albany is listed as Attorney and Senior Partner on those fake documents. However, neither Michael E. Hooper, Esq. nor the law firm of Moore, Clarke, DuVall & Rodgers, P.C. have any involvement in this scam or any other similar matter. While no clients of the law firm of Moore, Clarke, DuVall & Rodgers, P.C. have been contacted or involved in this scam, our firm wishes to share this report for the benefit of the public.
